ANMCO

A non-profit society founded in 1963, ANMCO, the Italian Association of Hospital-based Cardiologists, gathers 5,000 members (cardiologists working at the different institutions of the Italian Health Service). The association aims at fostering good clinical practices, prevention of cardiovascular diseases and rehabilitation after them, by supporting educational and training projects for professionals. The activity also includes studies and research along with the preparation and development of standards and guidelines.

The European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging – EACVI – is the world leading network of cardiovascular imaging experts, welcoming over 6,000 professionals including cardiologists, sonographers, nurses, and researchers. The EACVI’s mission is to promote excellence in clinical diagnosis, study, and technical development of research procedures in Europe.

This association was founded in 1975 as ‘Gruppo Italiano di Studi Emodinamici’ (Italian Group of Haemodynamics Studies), to later change its name to ‘Società Italiana di Cardiologia Interventistica’ (Italian Society for Interventional Cardiology) in 2015. It gathers those professionals that besides their healthcare, teaching and research activities also devote time to the study and operational development of haemodynamics and interventional cardiology.

The Mitral Foundation is committed to advancing the knowledge and full understanding of mitral valve diseases while fostering the most advanced therapeutic solutions. Clinical research and the study of new surgery treatments therefore help to improve the quality of the care given to ‘underserved’ patients and who are still today 50% of the cases.

Aiming to promote optimal management of patients with valve disease, the congress addresses imagers, clinical cardiologists, interventionists and cardiac surgeons.

This 2017 edition will take place in the historic center of Barcelona, at The Crowne Plaza, and will feature several symposia, controversies and round tables with expert’s panel.
